At university, Jessica volunteered with PHAB, a charity which aims to support young people with and without disabilities to break down community barriers and take part in activities and challenges together. Jessica also took part in a pro-bono project where she attended local schools to give talks to students about human rights.

Jessica has more recently volunteered with the Suffolk Law Centre and has offered legal advice on various issues on a pro-bono basis to help local people tackle their legal challenges.
