Joshua Jaworski



Joshua is a Solicitor specialising in the Commercial Litigation department in Chelmsford, having joined this team in January 2021, and previously qualified as a Solicitor into our Property Litigation Team in September 2020 in our Ipswich office. Prior to this, Joshua joined Birketts in September 2018 as a Trainee Solicitor, completing seats with our Commercial Property, Private Client Advisory, Commercial Litigation and Corporate teams.

Joshua has experience of a wide variety of disputes, assisting and advising on breach of contract claims, commercial debt recovery, partnership disputes, professional negligence and property related disputes such as claims landlord and tenant issues, easements and rights of way and planning related disputes such as applications for Planning Enforcement Orders.

Joshua is versed in alternative dispute resolution, having attended mediations and assisted in the arbitration process, and has experience of applications such as those for security for costs and injunctive relief.

Other Information

Joshua graduated from the University of Liverpool with a 2:1 in Music / Popular Music. He completed a Graduate LLB in 2016 with a final grade of 2:1 and then went on to achieve a commendation in the Legal Practice Course at BPP University in Cambridge, where he completed electives in Commercial Law and Intellectual Property, Advanced Commercial Litigation and Media and Entertainment.

Joshua also acted as Social President and sat on the Staff / Student Liaison Committee whilst studying the Legal Practice Course and volunteered as an Advice Line worker at Citizens Advice Bureau throughout his legal studies.

Joshua has a keen interest in music, being a proficient guitar player and electronic music producer (culminating in a label-released single in 2016), and dabbles in amateur video game development and art. Joshua also enjoys physical pursuits and taking part in charitable fundraising activities, including a variety of training in the gym and mountain hiking; he completed the ‘Tougher’ route of Walking with the Wounded’s Cumbrian Challenge in 2019 for charity and competed in the Cambridge Dragon Boat Race in 2019 with Birketts teams, though attempts to complete the Welsh 3000s Challenge have been repeatedly reluctantly postponed.
