Emily Osborne
- Experience
Emily joined Birketts in October 2020 and was promoted to Senior Associate in October 2021. Emily specialises in (re)insurance and advises (re)insurers on both domestic and international policy coverage disputes across a variety of non-marine lines of business, including travel, accident and health, property and professional indemnity. Emily’s recent experience has involved numerous high-value treaty reinsurance claims dealing with event cancellations and business interruption arising from COVID-19, as well as property damage and business interruption caused by riots and environmental catastrophes.
Emily has previously spent six months on secondment to a managing general agent client, where she acted in an in-house claims handling role.
Emily graduated from the University of Kent in 2009 with a first class with honours in Law before completing the Legal Practice Course with a distinction from the University of Law in 2010. She qualified as a Solicitor in September 2012.
Emily is a qualified Mental Health First Aider.
Emily is based in our London office.
Emily loves to travel, she has travelled to 35 countries across 5 continents so far. She also enjoys running, yoga and Pilates.
