
Daniel is a Solicitor in the construction & engineering team, based in our Cambridge office. Daniel assists with a range of transactional and dispute matters.
Daniel joined Birketts as a Trainee Solicitor in September 2023. During his training with Birketts, Daniel assisted in the intellectual property team, the corporate team, the construction & engineering team, and the planning & environmental team.
As a Trainee Solicitor at Birketts, Daniel developed expertise in the following areas:
- Intellectual Property – Supporting the team in contentious matters involving copyright, trademarks, and design rights. Assisting with matters involving passing off, patent infringement disputes, and breach of confidence.
- Corporate Law – Drafting and reviewing transactional documents, supporting corporate transactions.
- Construction & Engineering – Familiarity with various contract suites (JCT, NEC), handling both transactional and contentious matters.
- Planning & Environmental Law – Assisting with environmental regulations, rights of way, planning applications, and judicial reviews.
Experience & education
Daniel has prior work experience as a Legal Administrator and in several different customer service roles.
Before joining Birketts, Daniel studied Law at the University of Sunderland in which he achieved a first-class degree. He then studied the Legal Practice Course with BPP University in Bristol. Daniel completed electives in Private Acquisitions, Corporate Finance and Advanced Commercial Litigation.
