Denise is a Partner and Head of the Norwich Family Team.
Denise specialises in all areas of private family law, assisting clients following a relationship breakdown in relation to both the financial and child related issues. Denise deals with high value cases involving complex issues in relation to pensions, trusts, tax and business assets.
In relation to families seeking to protect pre-marital wealth Denise has a particular interest in marital agreements, either pre or post nuptial.
Denise advises on the variety of children issues that can arise following separation and is known for the sensitivity and support that she provides to her clients. If possible, Denise will try to help clients find a solution in a non-confrontational way but will provide firm and focused advice and representation if court proceedings become necessary.
With over 20 years of experience as a family Lawyer, Denise has considerable knowledge of the devastating effect that domestic abuse has within families. She has advised many victims of domestic abuse and has dealt with cases involving both physical and sexual abuse and coercive or controlling behaviour. Denise also volunteers to provide free legal advice at the Norfolk Community Law Service.
Denise is passionate about achieving the best outcome for her clients and trying to reach a resolution without the need for court proceedings. She is recognised for her compassion and empathy but, when necessary, is firm and robust in negotiations and when providing advice.
