Gaynor qualified as a Solicitor in February 2016 and joined Birketts in July 2019. She is an Associate in our Residential Real Estate Team and has over twelve years’ experience dealing with residential property matters.

Gaynor specialises in Equity Release and is a member of the Equity Release Council. She ensures to advise clients fully of the benefits and risks involved with equity release mortgages while abiding by the Equity Release Council rules and overarching principles.

In addition to Equity Release matters, Gaynor continues to represent clients in various aspects of property law including sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity and assents. Gaynor is well versed in dealing with complex property arrangements and often works alongside our commercial specialists, agricultural and equine specialists in order to achieve client objectives.

Outside of work, Gaynor is on the committee for Treasured Chests Breast Cancer Support Group, helping breast cancer patients through treatment, the road to recovery and beyond. Gaynor assists in the running of the group and is involved in fundraising for the benefit of its members.  

Recent work highlights

Gaynor is involved in the firm-wide Tech Steering Group, a group who consider tech facilities and beneficial solutions for the firm as a whole. This involves attending meetings, discussing the available tech, testing various tech solutions and reporting back to assist in decisions regarding implementation.
