He also assists with reviewing and drafting employment contracts and workplace policies to ensure legal compliance and practical clarity.

George has contributed to substantial projects in the independent schools sector, supporting multiple schools with their exit from the Teachers’ Pension Scheme and advising on the management of trade union relations. He also provides employment support on corporate transactions, including due diligence and drafting directors’ service agreements, and continues to work closely with the Corporate Team on the employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions.

In addition to his work for employers, George has experience advising individuals on settlement agreements, with particular expertise supporting senior executives through exit negotiations.

George joined Birketts as a Trainee Solicitor in September 2023, completing two seats in Employment including a split seat with the Corporate Team, as well as seats in our Commercial Real Estate and Agriculture teams. As an engineering enthusiast, George is an active member of the firm’s Transport and Logistics sector group and has a keen interest in the automotive and motorsport sectors, having gained experience in the motorsport industry whilst at university.
