Kellen joined Birketts as a Trainee Solicitor in September 2025. He is currently in his first seat in the charity property team.

Kellen assists the charity property team by providing advice to charities in respect of their property matters, including upon the incorporation, merger and restructuring of charities. Kellen advises clients on the development, purchase and sale of property, landlord and tenant issues and compliance with the Charities Act 2011.

Prior to becoming a Trainee Solicitor, Kellen worked as a Paralegal in the utilities team, where he provided commercial advice to statutory undertakers in respect of electricity, gas, fibre and water transactions in large commercial and residential developments.

Kellen graduated from the University of East Anglia with a first-class law degree. During his time at University, Kellen volunteered with Norfolk Community Law Service, a charity providing free legal advice to the local community. Kellen was also member of the Street Law project, an outreach programme designed to promote participation in higher education in local schools. Kellen completed the LLM Legal Practice (SQE 1 & 2) at the University of Law in Moorgate, London.
