Leighann joined Birketts in 2015 as a Legal Secretary in the Commercial Property Team, progressing to a role as a Paralegal in the firm’s Utilities Team, based in our Ipswich office.
Leighann works with developers and utility statutory undertakers on all aspects of utilities infrastructure, delivering full support as part of a specialist legal team to clients involved in large commercial and residential developments. Transactions predominantly relate to the provision of electricity, gas, water and fibre networks to the development sites by way of freehold and leasehold acquisitions and Deeds of Easement. Leighann provides expertise in advising IDNO’s (Independent Distribution Network Operators) and maintains strong
communication with her clients to ensure the transactions complete within the projected timescales, which may vary considerably depending on the site.
Leighann has recently been awarded her Professional Diploma in Law and Practice (ACILEX) and is currently working towards her CILEX Level 6 Chartered Institute of Legal Executive qualification.
