Patrick Wetherall is a Partner in our property disputes team, based in our Bristol office.

His work covers all aspects of general commercial property and landlord and tenant disputes including large scale valuable development disputes, dilapidations claims, contested lease renewals, disputes concerning alienation, advising on restrictive covenants, easements, contested agency claims, rights of way, rights of light, adverse possession, judicial review and town and village greens.
Patrick has considerable High Court and Court of Appeal experience and has mediated over 30 times.
Recent work highlights
CBRS Estates Ltd -v- Foreman Homes Limited 2025 WL 02908134 (2025), at Part 8 trial, successfully establishing that our interpretation of the land contract was correct, the contract was binding and our position in respect of the purchase price was as claimed.
Netflix in respect of their £10m claim against their landlord arising out of asbestos issues at one of their UK studios, with Mishcon De Reya acting for the landlord, successfully settled at mediation pre-trial.
National developer in respect of a £40m claim arising out of a valuable strategic land option, including extensive issues in respect of overage.
