Paul joined Birketts in September 2024 as a Trainee Solicitor and is currently undertaking his second seat with the Residential Development Team.
Paul supports the team with site acquisitions, residential developments, joint venture agreements and development finance.
Paul’s first seat was split between the Banking and Finance Team and the Private Client Advisory Team.
In the Private Client Advisory Team, Paul assisted with various matters focused on Wills, general estate planning, tax and trusts. He drafted Wills with tailored trust structures, as well as Lasting Powers of Attorney, lifetime trusts and tax documentation tied to the administration of estates.
In the Banking and Finance Team, Paul assisted on general corporate and real estate finance transactions from both a lender and borrower perspective. He managed conditions precedent checklists; drafted corporate authorities and reports; and updated security and facility documentation.
Prior to joining Birketts, Paul worked in legal publishing. He originally studied English Literature at university before converting to Law. He passed his SQE1 and SQE2 exams in 2023 and elected to study modules in Family, Private Wealth, Employment, and the Business of Law for his LLM.
