
Portia works in the Ipswich commercial real estate team which advises on all aspects of commercial real estate law.
Her work primarily focuses on land acquisitions and associated infrastructure on long-term projects – notably, she has become a point of contact for specific clients and wider Birketts teams involved in these projects.
Portia joined Birketts in January 2024 after working as a Paralegal in family law and private client law, respectively. Prior to beginning her legal career, Portia gained her Bachelor of Laws at the University of Birmingham and went on to complete the postgraduate Legal Practice Course (LPC) from BPP University, with a specific focus on Commercial Property, Intellectual Property and Corporate Finance.
After completing a Vacation Scheme with Birketts in June 2025, Portia is looking forward to commencing her Training Contract with the firm, circa 2027.
