Samantha qualified as a Solicitor in 2019 whilst working in house at a London based Housing Association.
Immediately upon qualifying Samantha joined the Agriculture and Estates Team in Chelmsford and became an Associate in 2022.
Samantha advises clients on a wide range of agricultural property matters, including sales and purchases of farms and other rural property, tenancy matters including the grant Farm Business Tenancies and assignment of existing tenancies, advising on the grant of easements for both vehicular/pedestrian rights of way and services and secured lending. Samantha also advises on pre-emption agreements, overage and option agreements.
Samantha acts for a wide variety of clients including farmers, landowners, trustees, lenders, pension funds and agri-businesses.
Recent work highlights
Acted on behalf of an agri-business in purchase of a large quarry and associated secured lending, including carrying out full due diligence for the lending which resulted in deeds being required to provide title capable of being given as security.
Acted on behalf of a landowner on the complex sale of development land, including the release of historic overage, the surrender and regrant of easements and the release of restrictive covenants prior to the sale.
Acting on the demerger of an agri-business including the transfer of land between parties, grant of option agreements, assignment of tenancies and sale of land.
