Sarah joined Birketts in September 2019, is a Partner and leads our Family Team in our Cambridge office.
Sarah is dedicated to providing expert legal advice in all areas of family law including divorce, couples living together, same sex marriage and civil partnerships, financial disputes and children. With over 30 years of experience Sarah has successfully helped clients navigate complex legal challenge with professionalism and care. Her approach is rooted in understanding a client’s unique circumstances and advocating for the best outcome for you and your family and has a proven track record.
Sarah has particular expertise in pre and post nuptial agreements (also known as pre-marital or prenuptial agreements or “pre-nups”).
Sarah is also a specialist mediator and has helped many people find workable solutions for themselves and that prioritise the best interests of any children and their family.
Sarah understands how emotionally challenging family disputes can be and is not only able to provide legal advice but to guide clients through the process with compassion and empathy.
Recent work highlights
Sarah successfully helped a parent prevent their child from being relocated abroad, ensuring the child’s continued stability and well-being.
In a recent mediation case Sarah helped a couple who had been separated and not spoken to each other for many years reach a financial proposal and enabled them to be able to attend, together, at their Daughters wedding.
