Simon qualified as a Solicitor in 1991 and was a Partner at Birketts between 1996 and 2000 before re-joining in 2025.
He is a Partner in the Construction & Engineering Team.
He specialises in all aspects of construction, engineering and infrastructure contracts from formulating contract strategy at the outset through all aspects of a project’s lifecycle including, if necessary, the resolution of disputes. He has specific experience in the water, power and transport sectors and has acted on some of the largest projects in the UK and internationally including the delivery of the Olympic 2012 infrastructure and The Shard.
Prior to joining Birketts he was a partner at Eversheds Sutherland for over 25 years holding a number of senior leadership roles including International Head of Construction and Engineering and also had client relationship responsibilities for some of the firm’s largest clients.
