
Summer is a Paralegal within the Social Housing Team based at our Norwich office.
She handles a wide variety of social housing matters for both large housing associations and local authorities. This work has enabled her to develop a strong understanding of housing law and the practical issues faced by landlords and tenants in the sector. Her main areas of responsibility include:
- Assisting with and defending disrepair claims
- Supporting the management of possession and forfeiture proceedings, giving her experience in court procedure, client liaison, and the preparation of legal documents
- Providing general advice to clients regarding repairing covenants and related obligations, enhancing her ability to interpret complex legal provisions and communicate them clearly to clients
Summer has gained valuable experience working collaboratively within a legal team, managing priorities, and maintaining a high standard of client service in a fast-paced and often sensitive area of law.
Experience & education
Summer began her legal career as a Paralegal in the corporate and commercial team, assisting with company incorporations and commercial transactions. She later moved into senior management, leading legal support teams with a focus on development and a supportive workplace culture. Most recently, Summer has worked as a Paralegal in the insolvency and restructuring team, assisting with matters relating to administrations, liquidations, and bankruptcy proceedings.
Summer is currently studying with CILEX Law School and is accredited a Specialist Paralegal. She intends to finish her law studies alongside her work for the Social Housing Team.
