Suzanne joined Birketts in 2015 as a Legal Secretary in the Employment Team and from January 2020 worked as a Paralegal. Suzanne qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in July 2024.
As a member of the Employment Team Suzanne advises both employers and employees on a range of contentious and non-contentious issues including:
- Employment tribunal claims including unfair dismissal, discrimination, equal pay, whistleblowing and constructive unfair dismissal.
- Employment contracts, consultancy agreements, staff handbooks and policies.
- Disciplinary, grievance, performance and sickness absence issues.
- Day to day support in employee relations and workplace disputes.
Suzanne is based in the Norwich office.
Experience & education
In 2016 Suzanne began her studies with the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and has recently become a qualified Chartered Legal Executive.
Prior to joining Birketts in 2015, Suzanne worked in criminal defence law for 15 years, advising detainees at the police station and preparing cases to be heard at the Crown Court.
