Tom is a Partner in the Banking and Finance Team at Birketts.
He advises both lenders and borrowers on a wide range of banking and finance transactions, with a particular focus and expertise in corporate lending and acquisition financings, often where this involves a cross-border element. He also has experience advising clients on restructuring, secondary debt trading, structured finance and capital markets transactions.
He acts for a diverse range of clients across industry sectors, from listed companies and private equity-backed businesses on borrower side to banks and other financial institutions, including alternative lenders, on lender side.
Tom trained and practised for around 10 years with a leading US law firm and has most recently worked for another international law firm in the UK. He has also gained valuable insight of lending processes and requirements through his spent time on secondment supporting the European Leveraged Finance team at Barclays.
