The Corporate Team of 14 partners and over 40 specialist corporate lawyers is led by Rafael Ruiz, and advises on a wide variety of corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions and disposals, start-ups and new ventures, reorganisations and reconstructions, joint ventures and private equity and venture capital fund-raisings, disposals and acquisitions. Our clients include entrepreneurs, private equity and venture capital funds, financial institutions, owner-managed and privately owned businesses, as well as international investors and public companies.

We advise clients across a range of sectors and at different stages in the business life cycle from start-ups to mergers and acquisitions, buy-outs and buy-ins, development capital fund raisings, re-financings and private and public (capital markets) exits.

We advise both buyers and sellers, individuals and corporates, on the full range of transactions; from trade sales/purchases, institutional sales/purchases, MBOs and EOT sales, to financial distress transactions.

As well as UK deals, our team is experienced in dealing with international transactions, including acquisitions and disposals of UK companies by and to international buyers, and assisting UK buyers with their acquisitions of overseas companies.

Many of our lawyers started their careers in other major domestic or international law firms, and bring not just their legal skills to transactions, but also their business experience and knowledge of market practice. Our lawyers are highly responsive and successfully deliver complex transactions to the most demanding of timetables, focusing on key issues, demonstrating pragmatism where justified and, always, protecting the interests of our clients.
