This course provides delegates with an understanding of the construction documents involved in a development transaction and the respective obligations on developers and tenants in relation to leases and development/funding agreements.

Course outline
The course begins by looking at a standard form of development/funding agreement with discussions focussing on the obligations of developers and tenants under such agreements. Delegates then review an agreement for lease and in doing so consider the different type of procurement for the works as well as key issues to be aware of.

Birketts were asked to deliver training to highlight the differences between NECs and JCTs to enable client teams of the council to make informed decisions when deciding which standard form best suited their needs.
