Charles joined Birketts as a Solicitor in the Commercial Real Estate Team in July 2022, having previously obtained a broad range of experience in Property law where he trained and practiced at a well-established high street firm.
Prior to qualifying as a Solicitor in January 2021, Charles began his legal career as a paralegal before going on to study the Legal Practice Course whilst undergoing his training contract. Charles deals with all aspects of commercial property law, including; sales and acquisitions, acting for landlords and tenants in relation to new and existing leases, lease renewals and various licences.
Recent work includes:
- Acting for an investor on the purchase of a newly built multi-let freehold property.
- Assisting the corporate team with the transfer of various properties involved in a multi-million pound acquisition.
- Acting for a local authority on various lease renewals to their property portfolio.
Charles is based in our Chelmsford office.
Charles studied the Legal Practice Course at BPP in Holborn and achieved a distinction.
In his spare time, Charles is a keen runner and enjoys watching and playing sports. In particular, Charles plays 6 a side football weekly and is an avid Arsenal supporter. Charles enjoys challenging himself and in 2016, he ran a half marathon, whilst carrying his golf clubs, before playing a round of golf for charity.
