Chloe Bird

  • Experience

Chloe joined Birketts in December 2018 after qualifying as a Solicitor in September 2018. Chloe is an Associate in our Litigation and Dispute Resolution Team based in our Norwich office.

Chloe acts for individuals and businesses (whether limited companies, partnerships or sole traders) from various sectors based in East Anglia and beyond. She has experience in advising and acting for clients in relation to a wide variety of disputes including breach of contract and contract interpretation, shareholder disputes (including unfair prejudice petitions and breach of directors’ duties), professional negligence claims, defamation, and complex high-value commercial debt recovery (both in the UK and abroad).

Chloe is also part of our Equine sector group and is well placed to advise on any Equine related disputes.

In addition to this, Chloe has experience acting in franchising disputes. She has experience acting for and advising both franchisors and franchisees in relation to default notices, terminations, post-termination restriction enforcement and misrepresentation claims.

Chloe has experience acting for and advising clients in relation to proceedings in both the County Court and High Court, including urgent applications for injunctive relief. However, she understands that litigation can be stressful, and that in most cases, parties wish for these matters to be resolved as quickly and effectively as possible. Chloe has extensive experience in dealing with Alternative Dispute Resolution options through various methods such as mediation and negotiation. However, where appropriate, Chloe is robust in presenting or defending her client’s positions and interests.

If settlement is not possible, Chloe has experience with dealing with claims all the way through to final hearings and guiding her clients through the process. Chloe has experience with trials in both County Court and High Court proceedings.

Chloe graduated from the University of East Anglia in 2015 with a 2:1 in Law. Chloe then went on to complete her Legal Practise Course (LPC) at BBP Law School in Cambridge.
