Daisy is a Senior Associate in Birketts’ agriculture and estates team, based in our Chelmsford office.
She works closely with farmers, rural landowners, and estate managers to provide practical legal advice on all aspects of agricultural property law. Daisy assists with estate management, refinancing, farm sales and purchases, and tenancy matters, ensuring clients receive clear guidance that protects their interests and supports the long-term success of their land and business. She also has specialist experience in ecclesiastical property, offering tailored solutions for unique rural assets.
A major part of Daisy’s work focuses on helping landowners unlock opportunities through natural capital and nature-based solutions. She advises on Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) agreements and non-statutory BNG arrangements, which allow farmers and estate owners to generate income by improving habitats and biodiversity. Daisy is experienced in guiding landowners through carbon markets, supporting those who want to explore carbon offsetting and sequestration schemes. Daisy also advises on Landscape Recovery Projects on a national basis. Her knowledge of these emerging opportunities in the natural capital sector allows her clients to make informed decisions that secure long-term value.
In addition to natural capital projects, Daisy advises on the sale and purchase of large farms and estates often for families and High-Net-Worth individuals. These transactions can be complex and time-sensitive, and Daisy works closely with clients and their advisors to achieve smooth, successful outcomes. Her practical, responsive approach and deep understanding of rural property law make her a trusted partner for landowners.
Daisy is also part of Birketts’ ESG advisory team helping farming businesses align with ESG principles, ensuring they meet sustainability goals while benefiting financially from environmental initiatives.
