Emily Seago

Emily is a Trainee Solicitor, having started her training contract in September 2022.

Emily is in her third seat in the Employee Incentives Team in the Ipswich office. She assists the team with advising on and implementing a range of incentive arrangements, including share option schemes and enterprise management schemes, as well as advising on employee ownership trust matters.

Emily’s second seat was in the Property Disputes Team in the Norwich office, advising on landlord and tenant disputes and property possession proceedings, both commercial and residential.

Emily’s first seat was in the Corporate Team in Norwich where she assisted the team on a range of corporate matters, including acquisitions and disposals, fundraising rounds, group re-organisations and general company law matters.

Emily first joined Birketts in 2019 as a Paralegal in the Real Estate Investment Team where she dealt with freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals, asset management and landlord and tenant work.

Prior to joining Birketts, Emily graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a 2:1 degree in Law. In July 2022, she achieved a Distinction in the LPC LLM in Legal Practice from the University of Law, completing electives in Mergers and Acquisitions, Commercial, Employment and Advanced Real Estate.
