Emma joined Birketts in June 2022 as a Commercial Property Graduate Solicitor Apprentice in the firm’s specialist Self-Invested Personal Pension Team, in the Ipswich office.
She assists on a range of commercial property work including Land Registry applications, searches, title investigations and drafting contracts.
Emma joined Birketts following the completion of an LLB Law degree at the University of Kent, where she attended between 2019 and 2022. While at University, Emma volunteered with the Kent Law Clinic where she assisted on a range of matters from immigration to divorce while gaining valuable experience interacting with clients and managing caseloads. Alongside this, Emma took part in extra-curricular skills modules including negotiation, mediation and client interviewing.
Prior to starting at Birketts, Emma worked for the communications platform Patch App which allowed legal professionals in Europe to practice their English prior to important client meetings.
