Georgina Mauger

Georgie is an Associate in the Commercial Real Estate Team in our Cambridge office.
Georgie has experience in a wide range of commercial property matters particularly with commercial freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals and landlord and tenant matters. Georgie acts for both landlords and tenants in connection with the negotiation and drafting of leases, rent deposits, licence for alterations and assignments. Georgie also acts for developers in site acquisitions, site set-ups and plot sales together with negotiating deeds of easements and transfers in relation to utilities services.
Prior to starting her training contract, Georgie was a Paralegal and gained over five years’ experience in commercial and residential property. This included dealing with freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, commercial leases, new build purchases, plot sales, re-mortgages, shared ownership, help to buy and first registrations.
During her training, Georgie sat with our Private Client Advisory Team where she assisted on wills, succession and tax planning, lasting powers of attorneys and probate matters. Her second seat was with our Corporate Team where she assisted on matters including the sale, purchase and restructuring of businesses together with lending arrangements for companies. Georgie’s third and final seat was with our Construction Team and undertook both contentious and non-contentious construction work. She prepared warranties and appointments and assisted on a number of adjudications.
Georgie graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2012 with a 2:1 in Law. Georgie went on to achieve a distinction in the Legal Practice Course at BPP University in Cambridge where she completed electives in Advanced Commercial Property, Employment and Private Acquisitions.
Outside of work, Georgie enjoys travelling and cooking. Georgie has taken part in Walking for the Wounded’s Cumbrian Challenge and the Cambridge Dragon Boat Race.
