Prior to joining Birketts, Kathryn was an Associate at a London-based global law firm, where she acted for both borrowers and lenders in the UK and internationally on financing and refinancing transactions, including drafting and negotiating loan agreements and security packages. Kathryn also has experience of acting for clients on asset financing transactions, specifically in the maritime sector.
Kathryn has a wide variety of experience advising both lenders and borrowers on general corporate lending and finance transactions (in particular real-estate finance). This includes advising on term loans, revolving credit agreements, acquisition finance, security packages and intercreditor arrangements. Recently, Kathryn has been instructed on several CBILS loans by both lender and borrower clients.
Key clients include high street banks, alternative lenders as well as both corporate and individual borrowers.
Kathryn graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2008 with a 2:1 in Law. She then went on to achieve a distinction in the Legal Practice Course (LPC), which she studied at The College of Law (Guildford).
