Rachel was admitted as a Solicitor in 2009 and joined Birketts in November 2011. She is a Partner in our Private Client Advisory Team.

Rachel advises individuals, business owners, landowners and their families on a wide range of matters including wills, succession and tax planning, the creation, taxation and administration of trusts, powers of attorney, probate and Court of Protection matters.

Rachel advises on and offers practical solutions to all individuals on succession planning and Wills. Rachel has considerable experience of different family circumstances, including step families, blended families and estranged families and also where some family members are involved in a family business and some are not.

She has experience of administering cross-border estates. Recent cases have involved assets in China, United States of America, South Africa, France and New Zealand.

Rachel also has experience in advising on complex incapacity cases and has made a number of successful applications to the Court of Protection for statutory Wills and approval of gifts, including a gift of £1m.

Rachel is also experienced in property related work and deals with sales of property including the sale and registering of land at the Land Registry.

Rachel qualified as a Solicitor in September 2009.

Rachel is a Trustee of Cambridge Aid (charity registration number 204327) and the Quilling Guild (charity registration number 1123927).
