Thomas joined Birketts in September 2021 as a Trainee Solicitor.

He is currently in his second seat with the Private Client Advisory Team in our Cambridge office. Thomas assists the team in advising individuals in relation to wills, succession and tax planning, powers of attorney and the taxation and administration of trusts.

His first seat was with the Commercial Property Team, where he assisted with acquisitions, sales, leases and associated ancillary documents.

Prior to joining Birketts, Thomas graduated from Northumbria University with Upper Second Class Honours in Law with Business (LL.B). After university, Thomas spent three years working as a Senior Paralegal in the Risk and Compliance department at a regional law firm in Cambridge. During this time, Thomas studied the Legal Practice Course at BPP University in Cambridge and completed electives in Commercial Law and Intellectual Property, Employment Law and Private Client.

Outside of work, Thomas likes to keep fit and enjoys running and playing football.  Thomas plays for a local Cambridgeshire based football team on Saturdays.

Over the last few years, Thomas volunteered at a number of Powerhouse games run by Power2Inspire, a charity who work with schools, colleges and universities to promote inclusive participation within sport across Cambridgeshire.

Thomas is also taking part in a skydive in April to raise money for local Cambridgeshire charity, Rowans, who provide an arts centre and forest school for adults with learning difficulties living in Cambridgeshire.
