Birketts’ Catherine Johnson is appointed President of the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce

Catherine Johnson, Partner and Head of the Ipswich Employment team is appointed as President of the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce
We are delighted to announce that Birketts Employment Law Partner, Catherine Johnson has been appointed as President of the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce. Catherine has been involved with the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce for the past seven years having chaired the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce in Greater Ipswich Board and currently sits on the Suffolk Chamber Board.
Commenting on her appointment, she says that: “I am delighted to accept the role of President of the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce. I see this as a pivotal role in our County’s business community.”
The Suffolk Chamber of Commerce is the largest independent private forum in the county, which works to support and represent local business interests. As an organisation, they aim to lobby and respond on behalf of businesses at a local, national and European level. Members enjoy a variety of services, ranging from networking events to international trade advice.
Birketts’ Chief Executive Jonathan Agar also comments: “Being involved in Suffolk’s business community is of vital importance to the firm and I know that Catherine will rise to the challenge of being President of such a highly regarded Chamber of Commerce”.
