Birketts’ lawyers are nominated for two awards at the inaugural British Conveyancing Awards, in recognition of their exemplary customer service and dedication to risk and compliance awareness.
The Conveyancing Customer Service Champion nomination sees Birketts’ Legal Director Amanda Angel and Senior Associate and Head of Enfranchisement, Nicola Lebish, personally nominated for their client-focused approach and incredible work on every transaction. Birketts is nominated as a whole for the Risk and Compliance Champion of the Year award, having worked meticulously to make sure client data is handled confidentially on every matter, and that all processes across the firm follow the latest compliance and data regulations.
The awards, organised by Today’s Conveyancer, celebrate the incredible efforts of residential property and conveyancing lawyers over the last 12 months under the unprecedented circumstances of the coronavirus pandemic. In addition to the sudden restrictions to house sales during the first national lockdown, the introduction of the Stamp Duty Land Tax holiday triggered a deluge of interest in buying and selling, with the number of transactions significantly higher than usual and expected to remain so until the holiday begins to end from 30 June 2021.
Speaking after the nomination, Legal Director Amanda Angel said: “It’s a huge honour to be nominated for these awards – I know first-hand how hard the Residential Property Team has worked in the last 12 months to keep transactions moving smoothly on behalf of our clients. Congratulations to all the other nominees, I look forward to gathering virtually later this month for the ceremony.
Nicola Lebish, Senior Associate and Head of Enfranchisement, added: “Our lawyers are always professional, trustworthy and transparent with our clients; we take the time to invest in these relationships and we want to know what it’s like in our client’s shoes. These are values myself and my colleagues bring to every matter, and to see this diligence recognised with a nomination for Customer Service Champion is a great privilege. Many thanks to the Today’s Conveyancer team for bringing these awards and the other excellent nominees together.”
The awards will be presented from 3:30pm on 25 May 2021.
