Birketts Residential Property Team reaching further than ever following merger

Birketts upcoming merger with a niche property practice is set to bolster the Residential Property Team as they support more clients in more parts of the country than ever before.
The firm welcomed Charles Fraser & Co in Bury St Edmunds on 6 December 2021. This will see Partners Charles Fraser and Graham Woodhouse join the firm with accompanying support staff, expanding Birketts’ residential property reach and bringing additional expertise to the team which already works across Cambridge, Chelmsford, Ipswich, London and Norwich.
With the addition of the Charles Fraser & Co team and a latest round of further recruitment, Birketts’ will boast a team of 58 residential property colleagues, including more than 30 lawyers providing expert advice on all aspects of residential property with a clear focus on outcomes and solutions.
The team has received recognition from the residential property industry, winning Conveyancing Team of the Year – Midlands and being nominated for Property Team of the Year at the Modern Law Conveyancing Awards, and was twice highly commended at the British Conveyancing Awards for its focus on risk & compliance and client service.
Birketts’ full-service offering affords the Residential Property Team, and therefore its clients, access to experts in all associated areas of law for more complex work, from wealth management planning to advising company purchasers on commercial mortgages.
