Alice Harris

Alice is a Legal Director in our Property Litigation Department and leads the firm’s highly regarded contentious residential housing practice.
Alice has a wealth of experience in advising parties in respect of residential housing disputes as well as dealing with the non-contentious aspects of occupational agreements such as drafting and advising on agreements and obligations. She speaks and writes regularly on the latest developments in Housing Law and is the departments “go to” person for any possession work. She has provided training to clients and agents on a variety of topics, such as dilapidations and Assured Shorthold Tenancies.
Alice’s expertise also includes a broad array of commercial landlord and tenant and real property work. She provides valuable support on the Property Litigation Team’s larger cases and works closely with James Robinson on development and right to light cases.
Alice trained with a local firm and qualified in September 2012. She joined Birketts in March 2014 and is based in the Ipswich office.
Alice is a member of the Property Litigation Association and has been recommended and named as a ‘Rising Star’ by Legal 500 [UK 2024].
