Experience

Charlotte joined Birketts in September 2018 as a Trainee Solicitor, completing seats with our Commercial Property SIPP Team, our Intellectual Property and Corporate teams, our Regulatory and Corporate Defence Team and our Family Team. Charlotte qualified into the Commercial Property Utilities Team in our Ipswich office in September 2020. 

Charlotte graduated from the University of Kent in 2017 with a 2:1 in Law. During her degree she represented the University of Kent in national and international mediation competitions, which resulted in the team being ranked fourth internationally and voted the best mediation team by the fellow competitors. She also undertook extra-curricular modules in Mediation, Negotiation and Client Interviewing. 

Charlotte went on to undertake the Legal Practice Course at BPP University in Cambridge where she completed electives in Advanced Commercial Property, Employment and Family Law.

Other Information

Outside of work Charlotte enjoys painting, pyrography, up-cycling furniture and baking cakes. She even used her baking skills to organise a charity bake sale at our Ipswich office in May 2019 for Stand Up to Cancer, which raised nearly £300. Charlotte has also taken opportunities to get involved with local community projects such as painting the Gannon Rooms Community Hall in Saxmundham in March 2019 and attending the Mayor’s Annual Charity Quiz in 2018 and 2019.
