Ross joined Birketts in 2019 and is a Senior Paralegal within our Utilities Team based in our Ipswich office.
Ross has over a decade of property experience but is a specialist in the field of utilities. He focusses on high volume work assisting individuals and developers alike to ensure projects are completed within projected timescales.
He has a comprehensive understanding of the essential aspects of utilities-based land rights dealing with transactions including electricity and electric services, gas and gas transporters, fibre optics, water, heat distribution, IDNO’s (Independent Distribution Network Operators) and DNO’s (Distribution Network Operators).
His passion lies in helping his clients navigate this niche and sometimes complex area ensuring that their interests are well protected at all times. He has a range of experience in advising statutory undertakers on all aspects of utility infrastructure transactions including:
- Complex Transfers, Leases and Deeds of Grant
- Deeds of Variation
- Licences for Works
- Consents and Crossing Agreements
Maintaining a strong, positive relationship with his clients, he is able to facilitate swift and seamless transactions, all the while keeping you well-informed with consistent updates and open communication throughout the process.
Ross is currently pursuing his studies for the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEX) qualification.
Outside of work, Ross has a keen interest in sports and is currently studying towards his CILEx qualifications.
