An English law qualified partner, Mark has considerable experience as an international corporate partner in both UK and US based international law firms, advising international groups operating in a variety of industries, especially technology.
Mark is one of very few lawyers with significant hands-on experience of creating new business operations within the legal sector. Mark previously founded and built Bird & Bird’s Middle East Operations.
At Birketts Mark is lead partner in developing their international practice, including companies intending to invest into Europe, Middle East & Asia.
Mark is a recognised expert in cross-border M&A, venture and other strategic investments into Europe and the Middle East (at both Bird & Bird and US international law firm, Sidley Austin) and has considerable private equity/VenCap experience, initially gained from his time at both Slaughter and May and as a partner in the private equity team at Travers Smith.
