Amber started as a Trainee Solicitor in September 2022, based in our Norwich office. Amber has completed her first three seats in the Private Client Advisory Team, the Employment Team and the Banking and Finance Team and now sits in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Team. She assists the team and advises clients on a wide range of disputes, including contractual, partnership and professional negligence claims. She also assists with debt recovery and fraud matters.
Amber first joined Birketts in June 2019, working as a Paralegal in the Planning Team. After securing a spot on the 2020 Summer Vacation Scheme, she was offered a training contract commencing in September 2022. In the summer of 2022 she took a brief break from work to go travelling round Asia, before returning to start her training contract.
Prior to joining Birketts, Amber graduated from The University of Sheffield with a First Class degree in Psychology in July 2016, she obtained legal work experience at Norfolk County Council’s nplaw and went on to complete a mini pupillage at Octagon Legal. She then began working for a local law firm in Norfolk, gaining experience in the Property, Private Client, Litigation, Employment and Planning departments.
Amber completed her GDL in June 2019 and her LPC in October 2021, whilst continuing to work part time at the firm, and achieved a Distinction in both. She completed electives in Family, Advanced Real Estate and Employment Law.
Growing up by the coast, Amber likes to spend her free time at the beach, paddle boarding, kayaking and walking her dog Lenny. She recently became the proud owner of her first home so many of her weekends are taken up with various DIY activities. She lives a healthy and active lifestyle and frequently takes part in a variety of fitness classes, both from home and at her local gym. She also loves travelling and spending time with family and friends.
