Experience
Robert qualified as a Solicitor into our Property Litigation Team in March 2020 after completing his training contract at Birketts. Prior to qualifying, Robert worked as a Paralegal in our Commercial Property department.
Robert already has a broad range of experience in all aspects of property litigation and provides commercial and pragmatic advice. He advises our commercial and residential property clients on all aspects of landlord and tenant law including rent arrears, service charge disputes, disrepair, forfeiture, renewals of business leases protected by the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 (both tenants and landlords) and the service of notices. Robert also advises clients on a wide range of freehold land issues including restrictive covenant enforcement, easements, estoppel, squatters and boundary disputes.
Robert has a particular interest in agricultural property disputes, and frequently assists our agriculture clients on agricultural property law issues and tenancies governed by both the Agricultural Tenancies Act 1995 and Agricultural Holdings Act 1986 and recently assisted on a high court proprietary estoppel case.
Robert is a member of the Property Litigation Association.
