William Cason

William qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2016 and joined Birketts in 2022 as an Associate in our Private Client Advisory Team. William advises individuals and families on a wide range of private client matters including Wills, succession planning, Powers of Attorney (Lasting, Enduring, General and Specific), Administration of Estates, Grants of Probate and intestacies, along with the creation and administration of Trusts.
He has also worked with lawyers overseas to administer cross-jurisdictional estates and advises high net worth clients on their succession planning; including the availability of inheritance tax reliefs and protection of wealth for their families.
William obtained his law degree from Nottingham Trent University in 2010 and qualified as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 2016. He is also a full TEP member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners since 2020.
William is based in our Norwich office.

Growing up in Texas, U.S.A., Germany, and England, William has had an amazing opportunity to travel the world due to his father being a former USAF fighter pilot. With a family background in the legal field as well, William pursued his legal interests in the UK and has now settled in Norwich. William is an avid basketball and Dallas Cowboys fan. He is the former Chairman of Norwich No. 1 Roundtable and a proud member of Strangers Club and his local STEP and Law Society branches.
