Alex Dedekind is an Associate in the commercial real estate team based in the Cambridge office.
She advises on a wide range of commercial real estate matters, with experience spanning investment, development, real estate finance and landlord and tenant work. Her practice focuses on delivering commercially aligned advice to corporate occupiers, institutional landlords, developers, public bodies and charitable estates.
Alex regularly advises on asset management matters, including drafting and negotiating complex leases, licences, surrenders and re‑gears. She has acted on numerous investment acquisitions and disposals across commercial and mixed‑use property and has supported public sector clients on conditional contracts linked to planning and on acquisitions involving planning risk. Her work also includes estate management support for a long‑established charitable property owner.
Alex has developed specialist expertise in strategic land, advising on long‑term promotion agreements, option agreements and collaboration arrangements. She also has extensive experience in coordinating large‑scale portfolio projects. A recent example involved overseeing a team of approximately 20 fee earners across nearly 100 properties, ensuring consistency, efficiency and clear communication throughout -a role that combined complex technical analysis with strong organisational and project‑management capability.
