Amy Bradburne
- Experience
Amy qualified into the Charities Team at Birketts in September 2022 following the successful completion of her Training Contract with us. During her Training Contract, Amy completed seats with our Banking and Finance, Commercial Property, Employment and Charities Teams.
Amy is based in our Ipswich office. She will be working with other members of the Charities Team on a broad range of matters, including charity incorporations, mergers, and dissolutions. She will also be assisting Liz Brownsell with the Trustee Training the team delivers, including the training as part of its Shaping Excellence programme.
Before joining Birketts, Amy achieved Distinctions in her Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practitioners’ Course (LPC) with BPP University. She chose Family Law, Property Law and Employment law as her electives on the LPC. Prior to studying law, Amy read Theology at the University of Edinburgh, and graduated with a First Class degree. Her dissertation looked into the role of the family unit during the witch hunts in Scotland.
Over the summers Amy has worked with a Suffolk based animal charity that focuses on enabling people to stay with their pets when going through difficult times. The work enabled her to take her own dog to events for the charity, and to brighten other people’s days with his companionship.
In her free time, Amy enjoys catching up with friends who are based locally and in Scotland, and she enjoys exploring England’s history by embarking on mini “staycations” to soak up some of the UK’s rich heritage. She also enjoys getting stuck in with the CSR initiatives that Birketts has to offer, whether that’s helping to put on a cinema night or virtual auction, or deciding to embark on a hike in the Cumbrian hills to help raise funds for Walking with the Wounded.
