Callum Traynor

Callum is a Solicitor in our Planning & Environmental Team. He is based in our Cambridge office.
Callum acts on a variety of contentious and non-contentious planning and environmental matters. This includes planning appeals, planning enforcement, judicial reviews, compulsory purchase, lawful development certificates, statutory nuisance, and environmental support on corporate transactions. He also provides advice on topics like permitted development rights, habitats regulations, biodiversity net gain, and minerals and waste.
Callum joined Birketts as a Trainee Solicitor in September 2021 and qualified in March 2023. Callum’s seats were in Planning & Environmental, Dispute Resolution, and Corporate.
Callum graduated with a 2:1 in History from the University of Leicester before obtaining a Commendation in the GDL and a Distinction in the LPC. Callum also worked as a Paralegal in the Dispute Resolution Team at a regional law firm.
During his training contract, Callum volunteered for the Suffolk Law Clinic, where the volunteers provide pro bono advice to individuals in a variety of contexts.
Callum plays rugby for Shelford Rugby Club, who currently compete in National Division 3 (London & South East Premier).
