Debbie Lloyd

Debbie joined Birketts in 2008. She is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives, Collaborative Lawyer and Resolution trained family mediator. She qualified in January 1992.
Debbie has worked exclusively in East Anglia throughout her career and has extensive experience dealing with a full range of family issues including divorce, children and financial issues. Debbie advises business owners, professionals and farmers amongst others on family law issues including the financial consequences of relationship breakdown but also regularly advises on both Pre-Nuptial and Post-Nuptial Agreements.
Debbie has a great deal of experience in conducting complex children proceedings, including those involving serious safeguarding issues, domestic abuse and parental alienation. She advises on changes of residence, shared care and specific issues relating to health, education and internal/external relocation.
Whilst Debbie would always regard court as the last resort with other dispute resolution methods being explored at the earliest opportunity, Debbie is equally at home dealing with contested financial issues and will assist clients navigating their way through their case to achieve the best outcome, and tailors her approach to meet the clients needs and objectives, always exploring every option, always bearing in mind risk and proportionality when advising clients as to which course of action to take.
