Ella previously worked in a local regional firm, joining Birketts in August 2022 as a Paralegal in our Charities Team. She is currently in her first seat as Trainee Solicitor in our Employment Team. Ella assists on a variety of contentious and non-contentious matters for both employers and employees, including employment contracts, settlement agreements, managing sickness absence, employment tribunal claims, disciplinary and grievance issues and redundancy.
Before joining Birketts, Ella read Law at the University of Suffolk, graduating with a First Class degree and achieving the Best Law Degree Prize 2021 sponsored by the Suffolk and North Essex Law Society. Her undergraduate dissertation explored the value of teaching children who have reached the age of criminal responsibility about criminal law and liability within a classroom setting, the focus being on the importance of ensuring that those who are held responsible for their actions have an understanding of the law that governs them.
Ella achieved a Distinction on the postgraduate Legal Practitioners’ Course (LPC) at the University of Law in Norwich, graduating in the summer of 2023.
In her spare time, Ella enjoys walking her dogs and spending time with her young family.
