
Ellie is a Solicitor in the Property Litigation Department.
She qualified as a Solicitor in October 2023 after completing her training contract at a regional firm in Essex. Ellie has experience in property litigation, planning, commercial property, and family law.
Ellie advises both commercial and residential clients on disputes and their obligations. Ellie has experience in dealing with residential possession claims which include serving s8 and s21 notices, issuing proceedings and attending Court on behalf of the client. Ellie advises both landlords and tenants on rent repayment orders and s.214 compensation claims.
Ellie also prepares Assured Shorthold Tenancies and advises on lease renewals, forfeiture, break clauses and rent deposit disputes.
Ellie graduated in 2021 with a First Class Honours in her Law Degree. In her spare time, Ellie mentors’ students who are interested in pursuing a career in law. Ellie also attends schools and universities to give an insight into the process of securing a training contract and the importance of gaining work experience
Recent work highlights
Successfully acted for a tenant in defending a Section 8 Claim brought by the landlord against the tenant.
2) Managed to obtain a settlement for the client of 1.5 times the deposit instead of 3 times the deposit as requested by the tenant in a s.214 compensation claim.
