Jasmin Sandhu

Jasmin joined Birketts as a Trainee Solicitor in September 2023.

She is currently in her fourth seat with the Corporate Team in Chelmsford where she assists with corporate matters across a range of sectors, supporting with mergers and acquisitions, group restructurings and general company law advice.

Jasmin completed her first seat in the Residential Development Team, where she worked on site acquisitions, land developments, joint venture agreements and development financing. Jasmin’s second seat was with the Public Sector Team, where she assisted with work on public procurement, commercial contracts, subsidy control advice and real estate transactions. In her third seat with the Employment Team, Jasmin assisted with advising employers and employees on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment issues. including employment tribunal claims, redundancy processes, TUPE transfers and negotiating employee exits.

Experience & education

For her undergraduate degree, Jasmin studied Law at the University of Warwick, going on to complete the SQE with the University of Law (London, Moorgate). Jasmin completed electives in Mergers & Acquisitions, Employment, Intellectual Property, and International Trade Law as part of her Masters.

Prior to joining Birketts, Jasmin worked in Professional Regulation during which she managed the running of fitness to practise hearings.
