
Joe qualified in September 2023 and is a Solicitor in our Commercial and Technology Team.
Joe advises clients on a variety of general commercial matters, including terms and conditions for the supply of services and/or goods, framework agreements, manufacturing and distribution agreements, software development and software as a service (SaaS) agreements, non-disclosure agreements and introduction agreements.
Prior to joining Birketts, Joe worked for a boutique sports law firm where he advised on various contracts for high-profile athletes, including sponsorship agreements, player and driver contracts, endorsement agreements, agency agreements and assignments and licences of intellectual property. He also contributed to the second edition of ‘Football and the Law’ by co-authoring a chapter on image rights in football.
Joe lived in China for four years before returning to the UK to study law. During this time, he worked at a law firm in Shanghai, where he assisted a global manufacturer in relation to a non-compete contractual obligation regarding selling their products in China.
Outside of work, Joe enjoys exploring different countries and has an interest in world history, politics, and culture. Joe studied Ancient History and Classical Archaeology at the University of Warwick before converting to law.
