Joshua Walker

Josh joined Birketts as a Trainee Solicitor in September 2023, following a period of employment as a Paralegal in the Firm’s Social Housing Team. During his time at Birketts so far Josh has worked closely with both Regional and National Registered Providers, providing services including:
- Developing new strategies externally and internally to client businesses for the purposes of defending disrepair claims faced by RPs.
- Chairing regular meetings within client businesses, providing targeted advice on a range of Housing Management issues.
- Delivering training sessions regarding emergent issues within the sector.
- Assisting clients in navigating new regulatory frameworks.
Josh is currently sitting with our Commercial Real Estate Team in our London office.
Before joining Birketts, Josh worked for the litigation team in a London High Street Law Firm, supplementing his existing legal education with a wide variety of contentious practical experience while supporting both commercial and private clients.
Josh attended the University of Bristol, where he graduated with a 2:1 in History; he decided to pivot to a career in law, graduating his Legal Practice Course with Distinction in December 2021 before joining Birketts in February 2022.
