Following an in-house legal career in the insurance and payments sectors, Kate joined Birketts in 2022.
She is an Associate in our Commercial & Technology Team and our Data Protection Team and is also a qualified Data Protection Practitioner.
Kate specialises in data protection services, helping organisations across all sectors fulfil their statutory compliance obligations, manage personal data breaches and data subject right requests, implement new data processing technologies and carry out marketing campaigns in accordance with data protection law. She regularly advises clients on the appointment of third party processors and international transfers of personal data.
Kate also works closely with clients to support them with any engagement with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Recent work highlights
Assisted a client in successfully refuting a complaint made by a data subject to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Advised a client in connection with the deployment of biometric facial recognition technology.
