Kate Etheridge

Kate Etheridge is a Solicitor in the employment team in our Ipswich office. She completed her training contract with Birketts and qualified as a Solicitor in September 2026.

Kate advises on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, acting for both employers and employees.

Her work includes:
• managing bulk settlement agreements;
• advising on restructurings and redundancy processes;
• advising on disciplinaries, grievances and dismissals;
• assisting with Employment Tribunal claims, including unfair dismissal and discrimination claims; and
• supporting employment aspects of corporate transactions.

Recent work highlights

Assisted with the defence of a multi-day Employment Tribunal claim in the Liverpool Employment Tribunal, including supporting witness preparation, drafting case documents and providing hearing support.

Assisted with a large-scale settlement agreement project, coordinating the advice for a substantial number of employees within a compressed timeframe.

Advised a large international retail client on the employment law implications of the Employment Rights Act reforms, including identifying key risks and recommending practical steps to prepare for legislative change.
